Have you ever scraped one of your wheels?
If you answered no then you are in the minority, so congratulations. The truth is that most of us have scraped a wheel at some point by trying to get as close to the kerb or because the kerb is a little higher than you thought it was. In fact this is how the AlloyGator™ came into being.
This is particularly annoying if have alloy wheels because it makes them very expensive to repair (on average-$250 per wheel) and you could easily damage them again. Added to that, most repairs leave you without your car for a while and repair locations are usually out of town which adds to the cost.
Well now there is a solution that will suit even the most expensive of cars. The AlloyGator™ is the perfect solution as it is easily fitted to almost any size wheel and any vehicle in a couple of hours, they look so good that some customers buy them for that reason alone. They can be easily replaced should you damage one of them and, dependent on colour, you need only replace just that one. But the best thing of all is they actually, in a lot of cases, prevent damage to your wheel.
How the AlloyGator™ came into being – Curt Rathbone, while mostly very careful with his vehicle ‘kerbed’ one of his rims on the way to a sales appointment in 2005. This got him to thinking about prevention, he searched the marketplace and found no solution for this common problem, and so the idea of the AlloyGator was born.
Fast forward to 2010, after much R&D and analysis he, along with his father who had been a part of the development, left their respective jobs and went “all in”. AlloyGator™ is now available all over the world with many distribution partners.
