Very recently I had the pleasure of spending the day detailing this beautiful blue Maserati Ghibli. Although the car was almost 12 months old my client wanted the paint work protected with the best, hence Brila Premium Body Glass Coating.
I need to say a big thanks to Arull, Brila Australia, for allowing me to use their facility here in Burswood, Perth WA, for the day. The lighting is amazing and makes it easy to see the detail required for a successful application.
Brila being a premium end glass coating, it is critical the paint work is prepared correctly. After spending over 8 hours just on the prep work including an iron oxide application, washing the car 3 times, over 5 hours just on paint correction and the final drying of the car included high pressure air to ensure no water drops/runs during the application. As I say, it is all in the preparation!!
The base coat of Brila Premium Body Glass Coating is a totally inorganic product. Unlike many other products which are organic, the Brila glass coating layer will not break down. Hence the car will remain protected for longer. Once this base coat is applied we then apply a top coat, which gives it the water beading properties. The final results are stunning.
What makes this application even more amazing, my client then asked me to drive his Maserati the following 2 days, 7th & 8th Sept 2018, at the inaugural Perth Maserati Grand Fondo. This being a gathering of Maserati enthusiasts enjoying a social drive to the South West. The main sponsor being Barbagello Maserati. There were 8 Maserati’s driving in convoy from Barbagello Maserati down to Manjimup on the Saturday, making a number of planned stops on the way. The interest in the cars from on lookers was amazing and I have to say the results of the Brila application stood out above the other Maserati’s.
We all enjoyed a formal dinner Saturday evening in Manjimup with some lovely wine tasting from Howard Park wines. There were prizes awarded which made for a very relaxed and enjoyable evening.
On Sunday we visited some great locations in the South West before heading back to Perth late afternoon. Unfortunately at this point, I had to return my clients car, as he had to return the Maserati he had borrowed from Barbagello Maserati. A very memorable 3 days and a fantastic opportunity to network with a great group of people. Possible a couple more Maserati drivers now interested in having their cars protected with Brila Premium Body Glass Coating.
